Booking Agreement: By making a booking with Flight Experts NZ, you confirm that you understand and agree to these terms and conditions, including all details related to travel dates, passenger names, and other booking information.
Passport and Visa Requirements: It is your sole responsibility to ensure you have all necessary travel documents, including visas. Flight Experts NZ is not liable for any visa-related issues or claims. Your passport must be valid for travel, and most countries require at least six months of validity. We do not verify passport validity but may request a copy for name verification purposes only.
Check-in: All passengers must check in at the airport at least three hours prior to scheduled departure.
Definitions: “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to Flight Experts NZ. For bookings made through Flight Experts NZ, these terms also include Flight Fare Experts Group.
Applicability: These terms apply to all bookings made with us, whether online via our website, by phone, email or in person.
Booking Authority: The person making the booking acts on behalf of all travelers named in the booking (regardless of whether other travellers have made separate payments) and binds them to these terms and conditions. In cases where your tickets are booked by someone else, in such cases we rely on their authority to act for you.
Passports and Visas (Detailed): All travelers are required to have a valid passport for international travel. Many countries require at least six months of passport validity from the return date, and some require machine-readable passports. You must inform us before payment if any traveler does not have a valid passport and You must arrange valid travel document/s before your travel commence. It is important that you ensure that you have valid passports, visas and re-entry permits which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred because of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be your sole responsibility. For specific visa and passport requirements, please contact the relevant embassy or consulate. We can provide general information, but we do not guarantee its accuracy and are not liable for any reliance on it. External visa providers are available for more detailed information.
Other Travel Documents: All travelers are required to have a valid travel documents to reach their destination. We can provide general information, but we do not guarantee its accuracy and are not liable for any reliance on it. Please contact your immigration adviser or relevant immigration department of the respective countries to obtain correct information about any travel documents requirement.
Airline Fares and Bookings: Airfares are subject to change or withdrawal by airlines without notice prior to ticketing. Flight Experts NZ is not liable for service cancellations or bankruptcies by third-party providers, including airlines. We are also not responsible for baggage damage, loss, or in-flight services.
Pricing: Prices are subject to availability and change without notice. Contact us for current pricing. Inform us immediately after making a payment. Prices may change due to factors outside our control, such as currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, taxes, and fare increases. If prices increase after payment, we may request additional payment or offer a full refund of paid fare. We are not responsible for price increases.
Travel to the USA/Canada: If traveling to the United States, visit for ESTA requirements. Australian/NZ passport holders require a valid ESTA (or visa) for entry. If traveling to Canada, visit for eTA requirements. Australian/NZ passport holders require a valid eTA (or visa) for entry. You may not be eligible for an ESTA or eTA and may require a visa.
Travel to the United Kingdom: Please see for important information regarding compulsory electronic travel authorization for nationals who do not require a visa for short stays (“ETA”). New Zealand passport holders are not able to enter the United Kingdom on/after 8 January 2025 without a valid ETA.
We urge you to apply for entry visas, permits and applicable waivers/exemptions prior to booking your travel, particularly if you have any concerns about whether or not you might be eligible for an ESTA or ETA
Travel Insurance: Comprehensive travel insurance is essential and strongly recommended by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. We at Flight Experts advise you that you MUST purchase comprehensive travel insurance as soon as you book your international or domestic travel. It should cover your travel arrangements and any unforeseen changes or cancellations. Claims must directly be lodged with the travel insurance provider. Flight Experts bear no insurance claim related responsibility.
Travel Advice: For up-to-date travel advice, including safety alerts, visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade website: Register your travel plans with MFAT for emergency contact purposes.
Health: You are responsible for understanding and complying with all health requirements and recommended precautions for your destination, including vaccinations. Consult your doctor or a travel medical service before travel. Check the MFAT website for general health advice.
Our Service Fees: Our service fees are per ticket and apply to all bookings. If your booking includes both domestic and international flights, both fees apply. These fees are in addition to currency conversion fees, airline penalties, airline service charges, fare differences, and supplier/ consolidator service charges.
Date Changes and Flight Changes: In cases where passenger requests to change flight dates or choose alternate dates/carriers, the additional services for eg. seat selection, extra baggage, bassinet request, meal request, elderly assistance/wheel chair etc are required to be requested again by the passenger. Please remind our team if you like us to request these services again as they get deleted when you request any changes to your reservation. There services are subject to availability and approval by the carrier airlines and are never guaranteed.

For urgent, last-minute airline changes(within 72 hours of departure), contact the airline directly. We are not responsible for airline operational issues or lack of service or refunds. You agree to indemnify us for any supplier cancellation fees. Refunds will not be issued until we receive funds from the supplier/provider.
Credit Card Payments: By using a credit card, you agree to the following: A third-party supplier fee may apply. If a travel provider (including airlines) fails to provide services, your recourse is against that provider, not Flight Experts NZ. You agree not to initiate a chargeback for payments made to us. We reserve the right to recover any chargeback amounts, including debt collection costs. You authorize us to exchange credit information with credit reporting agencies. Ensure you understand the currency of the quoted price. Your bank may charge a conversion fee. For international low-cost carriers, prices may be converted to NZD, and the final charge may vary due to currency fluctuations. You authorize us to charge your credit card for any fare increases imposed by the airline, even after payment. We act as an agent and are not the travel provider. Disputes are between you and the airline.
Credit and Debit Card Payments: Credit card surcharges apply: 2.5% (Visa/MasterCard), 4.5% (American Express/International Cards). Debit transactions have no surcharge. You can also transfer funds directly to our bank account. You authorize us to charge all fees to your designated card. If payment is not received, you agree to pay us all amounts due immediately.
Taxes: Airline taxes are subject to change and are confirmed upon ticket issuance. Local airport taxes may also apply.
Financial Arrangements: We receive remuneration through commissions, financial incentives and other means (together, “financial arrangements”) from booking travel and travel-related products and services on your behalf with third party travel service providers. We are not required by law to disclose to you the nature or value of these financial arrangements.
Deposit and Final Payment: You may be required to pay a deposit or deposits when booking. We will advise you of how much that will be. Subject to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act, all deposits are non-refundable for changes of mind or cancellations by you, or if the travel service provider’s terms and conditions provide that your deposit is non-refundable. A deposit will secure your booking/seat, however prices quoted may change before you make the final payment. Final payment is required no later than the date agreed at the time of deposit being paid. Most airfares or services must be paid in full at the time of booking
Service Guarantees: Our booking and advisory services are provided with due care and skill, are reasonably fit for purpose, can be expected to achieve the desired result, and will be provided within a reasonable time. Your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Law apply.
Schedule Changes: You must contact us at-least 72 hours prior to the departure or the airline/s if within 72 hours of the departure time to confirm your flight schedule. Schedule changes are managed by the service provider including but not limited to cruise liner, airlines, coach, railways etc. The same provider is responsible to provide you with an alternative option in case of disruption. While we may be able to help you liaise with the service provider, we do not control the outcome or availability. For any last minute Schedule changes introduced by the airline, please seek assistance from the airline for any alternate options.
In cases where airlines offer you a full refund, Flight Experts may charge a fee of up to $70 per E-ticket. Credit Card surcharges are not refunded.
Our Operational Hours: We aim to provide 24/7 service during peak season (July-December), but this may not be available during off-peak periods (January-June) or due to unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to technical issues, staff shortages, system outage, system maintenance etc. For last-minute (within 72 hours of departure) flight changes or cancellations, you must contact the airline/s directly.
Agency: We act as an agent for, and sell various travel related products as agents on behalf of, numerous transport, accommodation and other service providers, such as airlines, coach, rail and cruise line operators, as well as all of our wholesalers. Any booking, advisory and other services (such as processing a change or cancellation with the relevant travel services provider) that we provide to you are collateral to that agency relationship. Our obligation to you is to (and you expressly authorise us to) provide booking and advisory services, including making travel bookings on your behalf and arranging relevant contracts between you and travel service providers. We exercise care in the selection of reputable travel service providers, but we are not ourselves a provider of travel services and have no control over, or liability for, the services provided by third parties. All bookings are made on your behalf subject to the terms and conditions, including conditions of carriage, cancellation policy and limitations of liability, imposed by these travel service providers. Your legal rights in connection with the provision of travel services are against the specific travel service provider and are not against us. Specifically, if for any reason any travel service provider is unable to provide the services for which you have contracted, your rights are against that provider and not against us.
Liability: To the extent permitted by law, neither Flight Experts NZ nor its related companies, directors, employees or agents accept any liability in contract, tort or otherwise for any injury, damage, loss (including consequential loss), delay, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of third party providers over whom we have no direct control, force majeure or any other event which is beyond our control or which is not preventable by reasonable diligence on our part. Our liability will also be limited to the extent that any relevant international conventions, for example the Montreal Convention in respect of travel by air, the Athens Convention in respect of travel by sea, the Berne Convention in respect of travel by rail and the Paris Convention in respect of the provision of accommodation, limit the amount of compensation which can be claimed for death, injury, or delay to passengers and loss, damage and delay to luggage. Under circumstances where our liability cannot be excluded and where liability may be lawfully limited, such liability is limited to the remedies required of us under applicable law (including the Consumer Guarantees Act). This liability clause is subject to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act and nothing in these Booking Terms and Conditions is intended to limit any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act or the Fair Trading Act.
Special Requirements: Contact us at 09-9306264 for any special requirements, such as meal requests, seating preferences, or disability access needs. As an agent, we will pass this information to the service provider and our service ends there. Confirming and providing you with any special requests are subject to the servicer provider’s discretion. Flight Experts are not responsible for availability/unavailability of any such special requirements.
Frequent Flyer: Please provide your frequent flyer details when booking. We cannot guarantee that the supplier will credit you with points. Please contact the service provider for any point/s related inquiries.
Travel Documents: Travel documents include (without limitation) airline tickets, hotel vouchers, tour vouchers or any other document (whether in electronic form or otherwise) used to confirm an arrangement with a travel service provider. Travel documents are subject to conditions and restrictions, including non-refundability and cancellation fees. They are non-transferable and must be issued in the passport holder’s name. An incorrect name on a booking may result in an inability to use that booking, the booking being cancelled, and the application of additional change and/or cancellation fees. Review your documents carefully and notify us of any errors immediately. Print and retain your travel documents.
Flights for Unaccompanied Minors
Flights for Unaccompanied Minors cannot be booked online. To provide for the wellbeing of children travelling alone (otherwise known as Unaccompanied Minors), airlines have specific requirements. Flights for Unaccompanied Minors cannot be booked online. To make a flight booking for an unaccompanied minor please call us on 099306264 and one of our consultants will advise the conditions for the airline of your choice.
The following information relating to general rules for Unaccompanied Minors is a guide only and may vary from airline to airline:
Any child aged 5 to 11 years (inclusive) travelling alone on a flight must be booked as an Unaccompanied Minor.
If your child is under 12 years of age and is not booked as an Unaccompanied Minor, then the child must be accompanied by another person 15 years of age or older.
Any child aged 12 to 15 years (inclusive) may also travel as an Unaccompanied Minor if requested by the parent/legal guardian.
Children between 5-11 years of age attempting to travel alone and who have NOT been booked as an Unaccompanied Minor may be denied travel by the airlines until they have been provided with all relevant details in relation to the child’s travel arrangements.
An Unaccompanied Minor Form will need to be completed by the parent/legal guardian for this service. Also, there may be a fee involved for this service by the airline.
Travelling on Jetstar – Jetstar requires that passengers are able to travel independently. The airline does not have the systems, staff or facilities required to assume responsibility for assistance and supervision of passengers. Children requiring supervision will not be regarded as able to travel independently on the basis that they may cause a disruption or endanger themselves or others if travelling unaccompanied. As a guide, children who are not yet attending secondary school will be regarded as unable to travel independently and will not be eligible to travel unless they are accompanied by an appropriate Accompanying Passenger. An Accompanying Passenger generally will be at least 15 years old.
Modifications of these Booking Terms and Conditions: We reserve the right to modify any of these Booking Terms and Conditions (including the Travel Credit terms and conditions) at any time without prior notice. If we make changes to any of these terms and conditions, we will post the amended terms and conditions on our website, applications, or services, which are effective upon posting. The applicable terms that apply are those in effect at the time you make a booking (including by using any Travel Credit) with us.
Governing Law: If any dispute arises between you and us, the laws of New Zealand will apply. You irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand, and waive any right that you may have to object to an action being brought in those courts.

You acknowledge that you are 18 years of age or older and that you understand and agree with the above Booking Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
